POINTE-CLAIRE, January 2024 — Cielo Verde Inc., one of Quebec’s largest indoor cannabis producers, is proud to highlight the rapid growth and success of its Bud Lafleur™ brand in Ontario throughout 2023. Since its entry into the province last February, Bud Lafleur has quickly gained traction among Ontario consumers, becoming one of the most talked-about new brands on the market.
Bud Lafleur made its Ontario debut in February 2023 with a 1 x 1 g Moby Dick pre-roll, a bold and classic cultivar crafted with care. The product resonated strongly with consumers and quickly climbed into the top five best-selling pre-rolls in the province — a milestone that set the tone for what would be a year of momentum.
By May 2023, Bud Lafleur expanded its Ontario lineup to include Citroli and Moby Dick in both 3.5 g dried flower and pre-roll formats, offering consumers more ways to experience the brand’s well-crafted cultivars. Known for its exceptionally cheesy aroma with pine and wood undertones, Citroli quickly became a standout for those seeking a terpene-rich, distinctive flower.
In October 2023, Bud Lafleur added a single-strain dry sift hash featuring its popular Citroli cultivar, to its Ontario portfolio — its first concentrate offering in the province — reinforcing the brand’s commitment to delivering thoughtfully curated cannabis experiences.
Thanks to growing consumer demand and strong retail support, Bud Lafleur entered the top 20 cannabis brands in Ontario by the end of 2023, a remarkable achievement for a brand still in its first year in the province.
“We’ve been thrilled by the warm reception Bud Lafleur has received in Ontario,” said Barry Laxer, CEO and founder of Cielo Verde. “Our mission has always been to bring thoughtfully crafted, high-quality cannabis to more Canadians — and the response in Ontario tells us we’re on the right track. We’re excited to continue building on that momentum in 2024 and beyond.”
