At Cielo Verde, quality assurance is embedded into every stage of our cultivation and production process to meet the strict standards of global medical cannabis markets.
Quality Assurance Practices
Our facility operates under GACP and IMC-GAP certifications, with comprehensive QA/QC protocols that ensure consistency, safety, and product integrity. Key practices include:
Genetic & Cultivar Integrity
- Selection from a curated genetics library.
- Phenotypic stabilization and documentation through controlled R&D.
- Traceability of all plant material from seed to sale.
Controlled Cultivation Environment
- Indoor, closed-loop cultivation system.
- Growing medium: Rockwool cubes.
- Lighting: High-efficiency LED.
- Continuous monitoring of temperature, humidity, VPD, CO₂, and irrigation.
Manual Processing for Precision
- Hand-harvested at peak maturity to preserve plant structure and trichome integrity.
- Whole-plant hang drying is performed to ensure even moisture reduction and retain cannabinoid and terpene profiles.
- Once dried, flower is carefully hand-trimmed to maintain quality, visual appeal, and pharmaceutical-grade presentation.
- This is followed by a cold, slow curing process to stabilize active compounds and enhance overall product quality.
In-House Cannabinoid Monitoring
- HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) used on-site to monitor cannabinoid levels throughout flowering.
- Enables precise identification of peak cannabinoid maturity for harvest timing.
Post-Harvest QA & Sorting
- Rigorous sorting of flower by bud size and structure to meet medical-grade consistency standards.
- Visual inspection and internal QC checkpoints.
Third-Party Laboratory Testing
- Final Certificates of Analysis (COAs) issued by Health Canada–approved, third-party labs.
- Full testing for cannabinoid and terpene profiles, microbial contamination, and non-presence of any contaminants.
Documentation & Traceability
- Full batch records and chain-of-custody documentation.
- Environmental, operational, and personnel logs maintained for each production cycle.
- SOPs aligned with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) expectations for export readiness.

These practices reflect our commitment to delivering safe, consistent, and effective medical cannabis products trusted by healthcare providers and patients worldwide.
